Polls, unable to vote

I have not been able to vote in any polls, but I thought at first that this was because the threads were started several years ago. But with the poll Mia started, I can't vote there either and it was just today.

I was wondering why and also if this is affecting anyone else?

It's still not letting me vote. Something like the submission is invalid. Kiwi tried to fix it but it didn't work. Is there anything else that could be wrong?

I have raised this in the admin forum - swirlish is working on a possible solution (you are not the only member who has this problem).

In the meantime you could try clearing your Web-browser cache (there are instructions here: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/browsers/ ... -cache.htm) and then restart your computer. This sometimes solves issues like these.

I tried clearing the cache and restarting and its still not working. I will try to be patient... I am just not a particularly patient person.

Sooooo..... I switched the theme from guildwars to subsilver and it's letting me vote now. I pm'ed Mian, but wanted to put it here too. Must be something wrong with that theme.

We'll see if it works, it does look like several of those who can't vote are using that theme. You will be officially named a genius if it works!

Was just dropping in to say that I use the guildwars theme and wasn't able to vote. Also that problem a long time ago with the smilies - that too seems to be a problem linked to the theme.

Kind of sucks - I like the guildwars theme because it's much easier on my eyes, the subsilver one just makes them feel as though they are being seared by light.

I usually use the subsilver theme but swapped to guildwars.

When I tried to vote in http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=195928 I got the same annoying message ("The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.") that others have got.

When I went back to subsilver my vote was accepted.

The problem seems to be that the guildwars theme is not adequately supported by the latest version of phpBB (the software that BUS runs under). I am a member of the phpBB support forum - I have raised this issue there and will get back if anything useful is suggested.

In that case, I think we'd need deb to update the theme or install a new one (I think many people liked subblack because it had a dark background?)

strmdncr - as a temporary measure, use guildwars mostly and if you ever encounter a problem with some feature try subsilver just for that then switching back to guildwars maybe? I realize it's not an ideal solution, but it might be the best we can do for now. I'm sorry about the inconvenience.
