"report to moderators"

i just saw a post about cheap shoes on main.
i know this kind of stuff isn't appreciated on the board at all, so i clicked the 'report to moderators' link, and it brought me to the BUS index.
it always has.
just wondering if that post gets reported? or if it should come up with a different screen (like a pm to say what i'm reporting for example)? or am i just wasting my time?

Hello everyone!

This is a reminder for those who know, and a notification for those who don't:

The link beside posts that says "report post" does *not* work. If you want to report a post to the mods or admins, the best thing you can do is just PM one of us. Typically if the issue is in a forum, it's best to PM one of the mods of that forum, or if it's a wider issue, or if it's on main, PM an admin.

If you do write to a mod or an admin, and you have not heard back in what you consider a reasonable period of time, you can try writing again. We are not ignoring you! Sometimes people are away, taking a break from BUS or otherwise occupied or don't have board access. We're all human too, so we occasionally lose messages, or forget about things!
Though we will not always agree with you about what (if anything) should be done with a post, we will always acknowledge your report, and follow up to tell you what's been done, as apropriate.

You all know (or should know) the rules. If you see something that bothers you, or that you think breaks the rules, it's fine to report it to a member of staff. That's what we're here for
It's helpful to us when we get reports from members - it lets us catch things more quickly, and sometimes helps us catch things we might not have noticed without your help.

The other option is that at the top of the page, next to your profile and inbox there should be a link saying "make a report" or words to that effect. You can also use that to report stuff. Anything posted there will be visible to all members of staff, which means it's likely to get picked up faster.
