color breathing

Post by tears1315 » Sun Aug 10, 2008 5:55 pm

Someone has probably already posted this before, but my t and I were talking about different ways to relieve stress and this is one that came up. Now I will say that i'm having a hard time doing it, but I just find it hard to sit down and relax anyway. So anyway this is how it works;

find a quiet spot
close you eyes and picture your favorite color
breathe in through your nose and pick the color up off the paper ( kind of like your breathing it in)
breathe out through you mouth and return the back down on the paper
youre supposed to try to repeat ten times or until youve calmed down

just thought I would share it in case it could help someone

sounds kind of like the mystical/meditative stuff like focusing on colors at various parts of your body or visualising color around you...interesting, thanks for sharing.
