1) A book. Because escaping my thoughts is often the best way.
2) My walkman, because when I'm pissed off, angry music, or soothing music, helps.
3) My journal, so I can write things out and make lists, because that's the best way for me to organise my thoughts, and organising my thoughts helps me make sense of them, and making sense of them helps me cope with them.
4) My phone, so I can seek support from actual people if I need to.
5) Chocolate to keep away dementors.

Its really hard to narrow it down to 5...

1. my cat, who is my best friend in the way that only cats can be
2. my computer and the internet to get on BUS a few other sites
3. my iPod, b/c music is another coping skill
4. my Catholic Youth bible, b/c it is awesome
5. Catcher in the Rye and several other books, b/c I love reading

I suppose I can't take my therapist?!

ok, so....

1) Journal and pens .. I am noone if I cannot write

2) Lots of paper, felt pens and crayons .. I have to express myself creatively

3) File of articles and other validating things ... I'm not the only one who feels like this...and that its for a reason...to support compassion for myself.

4) Women who run with the wolves...awesome book....has lots of compassion and supportive ideas....and stimuli for writing...

5) A blanket ... for comfort and security, helps me feel grounded and in my body safely....and to keep warm at night or when it got cold...
