have you taken care of your physical wounds? if not, go do that now. we'll wait.

yes i have

what had happened just before?

argument with my mum

what were you thinking and feeling?

pissed of and sick of people leaving me when they insist they wont

why did you end up hurting yourself then instead of some other time? was there an event that was the final straw? what was it?

the argument

were there outside factors like drugs, alsohol, being off your meds, lack of sleep, etc? can you address those in the future? how?

alcohol and it was late

what other ways of coping did you try besides self-harm? how well did they work?

treid being on bus it didnt work at all

name at least two things you will do to help yourself remember those coping methods if you end up in this situation again.

sit and take a deep breath maybes?

how do you feel about the situation that led to self-harm now? is it resolved? if not, what are some steps you might take toward resolution?

kind of me n my mum made up but i stil feel isolated

are you likely to be in that emotional place again? how will you recognize it when you're in that situation?

yes and i have no idea

what will you try before you resort to self-harm if you're in that situation again? list three specific things you will commit to trying.

smoking (es i know it aint ideal but its better than si, walking away from the phone and computer

About Opportunities to SI
Opportunity to Self-Harm seems to be a common theme. Think about why opportunities are important to slips and learn why opportunity is important to you.

What made that opportunity more appealing than any other?

only way i could think to calm me down

Did you make an opportunity or was it there for the taking?

its allways there at nite people arent around

What would you have done if there was no opportunity, how would you have handled your urge?

gone quiet and waited till later if im honest

If there had been no opportunity would your urge to self-harm have increased or decreased?

increased

What consitutes opportunity for you? Being alone? having new tools? waiting for the right feeling?

all the above as well as alcohol and late nites

If your opportunties were taken away, how would you feel?

scared
scars are tattoos with better stories
it's hard to answer the question whats wrong, when nothing is 'right'
Not all scars show. Not all wounds heal. Sometimes you cant always see the pain someone feels

You mentioned that alcohol and it being late both contribute to your SI. What things can you do, in anticipation of the difficulty associated with nighttime, to reduce the chances that you will hurt yourself? Can you go to sleep earlier? Watch a comedy or take a relaxing bath?

Have you considered changing your alcohol use? For instance, not drinking at night when you are already vulnerable?

It also sounds like feeling isolated is a big part of your self-injury. What things can you do to reduce feelings of isolation?

I hope things are going better for you.
