I don't want to be a pest about this, but in the past on bus, there were not so many triggering subject titles. I really think mods and admins need do a lot to keep the boards safe, but I'm no longer comfortable on main. Just seeing post subjects and I'm tense and freaked out and suddenly feel my post is worthless because the subject isn't all dramatic and shit...which of course means fewer people will read, fewer replies, and a chance my needs aren't met.
I can only check out main for brief periods of time when I'm positive I'm feeling safe. It's really hard. mainly I'm left using my place as the space on the board I feel comfortable communicating with others...I once felt safe and comfortable on main, but I'm now frankly scared of it.

I'm sorry to hear you're finding it so difficult, Chessie.
There seems to be two things here. One is that you are finding subject titles triggering - I'm not terribly sure in what way you mean that. Could you maybe pm me a few examples? (Best not to post them here as it wouldn't be fair to the person who wrote them.)
The other aspect is that you feel your posts don't compare with other people's. It definitely shouldn't be that people feel they have to say something dramatic to be heard; it's much better to ask directly and openly for what you need, preferably before things get to a "dramatic" stage.
I actually think that the posts that get most replies aren't necessarily the most dramatic, but rather the ones that are easiest to respond to. Hmmm.
Your posts are definitely not worthless, Chessie. I'm glad you were able to talk here about how you're finding it. Tell us more, maybe in a pm.

Hey, I'm sorry main isn't feeling a safe place right now, and it's cool that you were able to recognise that and post about it.
I actually think this would be a good post on main for people who don't read this part of the board. You don't need to be dramatic to have you're needs met, It feels like it sometimes especially in a place like this, and in life - but you just have to be able to tell people you're needs.
If there is a subject title on main that is too graphic, or triggering (in other words: if it is against the guidelines/rules on bus): I would first suggest PM'ing a mod or an admin and telling them, and they will change it if need be to protect people so they don't have to be triggered by the titles.
It is good that you are able to set limits on what you can and cannot do with the main board right now. It shows a healthy approach to something that cannot easily be changed (in my opinion).
