After You Beat an Urge
How do you beat your urges? Examine how you beat the last one so it can help you beat the next one.
  • Did I identify what feelings were leading me to want to SI?
    maybe i should've given it more thought
  • If Yes - What were they, and how did I figure them out?
    i was angry with my husband and feeling sick. i think most of all i missed doing what i've been doing everyday since i was little
  • What coping skills did I use to deal with these feelings?
    playing with my pets. put medicine on old scars.
  • Were these coping skills the most effective I could have used?
    well, i'm ok but i think i also should've talked to someone. i have friends that i can call. i usually write in my journal or talk to people
  • Why do I think they worked?
  • How can I deal with these feelings more effectively next time, before the urge to SI sets in?
