Troubles with "search" - only with a few members

Post by Ice_crystal » Mon Aug 04, 2008 9:17 pm

Sorry if there's already a topic like this one.

I noticed there are a few user accounts where I can't search for the postings? I mean - I'm able to search for postings, and I get a list - but as soon as I try to go to page 2 of the list, it says:
"No topics or posts met your search criteria". But this user has a lot of postings, and I just searched for all the postings of the user??

Why is that? Just wondering.

sometimes it's if their posts are really old and they are archived in the old board posts that haven't yet been amalgamated bac into these ones,

if the posts should be more recent than that then i don't know why - sorry am sure someone else will have wise ideas though

I think there is something broken, because I have had that happen too. But it isn't happening to me now, so I have no idea... I wish I knew more about technical stuff or what might be causing that.

by the way, if you need help finding something, PM me and I will try to find it for you and send you a link... that way you can get what you need, even if the search feature is acting up. :star:

thank you! :bluestar: I wasn't even looking out for something special...just occurred (ehm..is this the right word?) with several users. Most of the users posting searches are working properly. :)

No topics or posts met your search criteria
I have noticed the same thing - seems erratic (haven't done a systematic investigation) - but *seems* to be more common when searching for a post from somebody with lots (1000+) of posts.
