img tag in sig doesn't work anymore?

Hi,
I just attempted to update my signature with a new image. I typed in <img src="..."/> and saved (with my image instead of the ...) but every time i save, the image tag is saved as simply <img> . I thought maybe i had a syntax error, and also tried <img src="...">, but i've checked many times and it just refuses to save. my image is http://mason.gmu.edu/~hwong1/images/pups.jpg . the size is 19218 and the dimensions are 162 X 87 px, which should fall within the range. can anyone help?

HTML image tags won't work anymore, but the BBCode ones will.

Try putting this in your sig...
