Does anyone else here ever draw designs over fairly fresh wounds, and/or scars. by drawing I mean with a marker, pen, or other writing utensile.

i sometimes draw on or around scars with a pen. not designs really, more doodles, or words or circling the scars.
it does help with urges sometimes, but it can also make it worse.

i haven't done this, but be sure to not get ink inside the wounds, as it could possibly lead to an infection.
there is, in the end, the letting go.

I'll draw around my scars, sometimes. Usually I do that when I'm bored and I'm lacking creativity. Sometimes the scars and the lines from the pen make sort of a pattern and make me inspired again.

I'll second what Pink Spider said. If you have cuts around the scar, I'd just be careful with where you're drawing.

Hmm... Yes, make sure not to get any ink in the wound... I try not to draw on myself (very hard!) because the ink gets absorbed into your skin, and can cause horrid diseases, but I'm just paranoid like that.

I draw to make myself feel better. Maybe doodling on a sheet of paper will help more than doodling on your arm.
