Firefox scroll issue (laptop)
I just installed Firefox, which is awesome! But, I'm not able to scroll down using my Synaptics pointing device scroll tab thingy on my mouse pad (for a laptop.)
I just checked with my Internet Explorer, and it's not a problem there and this problem is on several different website that I've tried.
Can someone help me?
I've read through the Help topics and my issue wasn't up there.
Also, I went through everything with my mouse pad and nothing has been changed. I'm positive it's with the Firefox, but I don't know how to change it!
Helpers will be given my undying love!

Weird...I just upgraded on my laptop this week, and my side scroll is working just fine. I'm running XP sp2. I remember when I was using my dad's...he just upgraded too, and his does not work, but he is running win 2000. What OS are you using?

Windows XP- it works for everything but Mozilla, though.
I don't think the problem is the scrollpad but Mozilla (I might be wrong, but it did work for IE when I tried it a few minutes ago to see what the deal was. I just downloaded Mozilla, if that makes a difference...)
Thanks for replying =]

Windows XP here too - but on a pc. It all works fine for me. Unless I try something on IE, like a link I've been sent, then the pc throws a tantrum and crashes.
I don't know, but I doubt Mozilla Firefox is the problem; unless windows have a sneaky way of keeping us from using stuff better and less sales-linked than any variety of windows?
An afterthought. Have you tried shutting down and rebooting? I killed my msn inbox last night after a hurried attempt at setting up a facebook account - but today it's all working fine.

Sarah- I just rebooted the machine and it's still (not) doing it.
Anyone else have something for me to try? I'm loving Firefox, but if I can't use my scroll thing I'll switch back to IE. *hears screams from Firefox lovers*
I know, I know... but it just makes everything easier to use that little scroll tab.
Please, guys!
I appreciate everything so far!!!

When you go Tools>Options...on the first tab labeled "General"...what boxes are ticked in the "Browsing" category?
