saving place thread to disc

Post by pretty » Fri May 21, 2004 1:08 pm

Is there an easy simple way I can save my whole place thread to my computer so that I can read it all offline in my own time? The only way I know of involves saving every page individually, which would take ages.

There might not even be a way, but I thought it was worth asking! Thank you :)

that's the only way i know, sorry.

IF you have any of those spider indexing programs, you might be able to do it, but I'm not entirel sure how they work.

If you save it to your favourites and check the box that says 'make available offline'. Then click properties and click the maximum number of links you can have on your computer for links available offline from the main page.

This won't allow you to save the whole thing in one go, but it's quicker than saving each page one by one if you can't find a way to do it because I think you may then be able to do it in multiples of 6 (3 links off each page). (I'm using Windows XP and I have that facility. I think I also had that facility on Windows 98, so I hope that's of some use to you).

Thank you! I'll give that a try.
