i don't know what i'm doing wrong, i can't for the life of me figure out why it won't work.

If you go to profile you have the option to attach signature or not
Make sure that the yes box is checked
If that doesn't work than I have no idea why

I'm sure you are, but just to check, are you hitting the "submit" button after you edit it ?

that's all I can think of, and that is the sort of mistake that only *I* make.

I believe that it's because you're using icicle as your theme. It won't let you..

You can change to a diferent theme tho

That's strange. Your signature is only showing up in the posts since you changed your settings. Isn't it normal for all posts from beforehand as well to have the signature added to it? That's like a general setting I thought.

Probably not, as the capability for the sig wasn't there in the old posts, tho if she changes sig now, it will go backwards also.
