Limited smilies

This has been a problem for a few months now, just haven't gotten around to addressing it previously. Anyhow for some reason I have a very limited amount of smilies that show on my smilies group for sharing and I suck at remembering the actual series of keys to press to get various ones.

Is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Can you explain more how you mean? If I click on "view more smilies" under the ones that already are there on the left of this post, I get a smaller box with a few, then 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 underneath. If I click any of those numbers, I get to "the next page(s)" of smilies. Does it look different for you?

If I click on "view more smilies" under the ones that are to the left of the post I get the pop-up box. It offers me a limited number of smilies and that is all. It doesn't have the extra numbers like you are speaking of. My small box holds primarily the actual smiles, the cat pictures and the stars, that is all.

Not sure how much that helps...hopefully some.

Maybe it is a browser issue?

I use Firefox and Chrome (both running under Windows 7 Pro) and, like Mia, can see the "1, 2, 3, 4, 5 underneath" using either of these.

Using Firefox primarily myself, rare occasion IE- thanks for the suggestion though.

Is exactly what I get when I click on the "View more smilies" underneath the rest of the Smilies to the left. That is it, nothing more.

It's not your permissions, they work for me. Have you tried clearing your cache?

I was going to suggest clearing the cache. Only because that's what people tell me to do when I have computer issues, I have no idea what it actually means.

As Milvus said, your permissions look fine. (Admins can do something called "test user's permissions" where we tell the board to show us exactly what you see when viewing it according to the permissions you have.) I could see the 1,2,3,4,5 numbers when doing that. If you're still have problems after clearing the cache and deleting the history and all those techie things (reboot your computer for good measure, that's something else I'm always told to do), we'll have to resort to Googling the answer, I think (well I would, maybe someone else is more techy than me).

The problem occurs regardless of what computer I use so it has to be account specific somehow. *shrugs* Perhaps it's simply that I'm missing seeing something. Either way it's not a major problem of any sort as I can just as easily get by with the smilies I do have access to.
It was more a minor 'wonder why' moment than any sort of 'ahhh!!!' type thing.
