Can't change my password

I had to recover my password a few days ago, and it gave me a new login password. However, when I try to change it now, it tells me that the current password is too short. Baffling. Can anyone help with this?

If it says it is too short then pick a longer one. When we changed over to the new version (however long ago that was) the requirements for password changed. It needs to be longer and I think it also requires at least one number and maybe even a capital letter.

Try to think of a new one that fills all of these requirements and see if you have more success
