Hello, seemingly random user speaking here

I've resently heard that you are paying for this forum
Considing how phpBB is open source I'm going to assume its the domain you are paying for
I know a free domain site you can use without having some stupidly complex address

If the domain came with the site and you can't change it fear not for I have another alternative

Free webhosting as well
It's not some low grade shit host with bad uptime so give it some thought

100Gb Bandwidth
1.5 Gb Storage
99% Uptime
2 MySQL databases such as the one this board runs on
5 E-mail addresses so you can stop sending and recieving to your personal address

The list goes on


Also if your not interested in migrating because of the work load then I'll do it for you, that way this board will remain online while the new one is being worked on aka ZERO downtime for buslist

I know you are planning to upgrade to phpBB3 in a few weeks so why not take a free alternative in the process

If you have access to the database and can supply a .sql.gz backup then that will speed things up, if not then I'll spend my time migrating everything by hand until the only difference is the date stamp

Also if they hosting starts to get full or bandwidth usage nears it's limit then I'll relocate things such as the images to a new domain and link it back up

If your wondering why I'm doing this it's because I like to help, I make offers such as this one to support groups and gaming clans that are paying out unneccessery funds, most refuse my offers but that won't stop me

hi. i appreciate the offer, but the hosting is on a donated colo box (and so is free already) and i do sql for a living. even if that weren't the case, i wouldn't be able to get past the security and privacy risks of turning the database over to someone i do not know. it's kind of you to offer, but i'm going to decline. thank you, though.
