Quoting in the wrong thread

Post by Luscious Peanut » Fri Oct 24, 2008 1:45 pm

I just quoted twice and it ended up in the wrong thread!. First I just hit the quote button and it ended up in someone else's thread, then I hit the quote button and copy and pasted it into a reply in the correct thread and it STILL went right back to that other person's thread... I feel bad. What am I supposed to do, what could I be doing wrong?
Thanks,
Luci Pea

that is very strange...cause it isn't supposed to work like that.
What thread? I can at least take it out of the wrong thread and try to move it to the right one for you.

Maybe if I look at the threads I can see what went wrong, but just from reading your post, something strange is happening. Let me know either here or in a PM and I will take a look at it and try to fix whatever is messed up.

I can't find where it was SUPPOSED to go anymore. Here's a link to the thread it ended up in. TWICE. http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php? ... 31#3314431

I feel really bad for messing with this girl's thread.
Thanks for any help and for your response,

I have deleted the extra posts, and I have a theory about what may have happened.

I think you didn't do anything wrong.
I think the post you were replying to was really early in the thread and there were another 20 or 30 pages after it... so it ended up in the right thread, but nowhere near what you were reading when you thought of your reply. So they are the same thread, but you wouldn't be able to see the reply near the things you were responding to...it goes to the end of the thread automatically. That is one of the problems with really long threads.

Anyway, it is cleaned up so there are no repeats and your post works fine there.
