I'll admit it, I have been one to largely use "Oh the cat scratched me" and they don't deserve the blame so aye for me!

This topic totally cracks me up!!! I don't have a cat, but when I did -- I didn't like to blame him.

I never blamed the cat but once someone asked me "The cat got you, huh?" in a tone that said she knew d**n well that it wasn't a cat (especially since I lived in a college dorm at the time), and I said yeah. But we both knew it wasn't a cat. Unless maybe it was a Swiss Army Cat. ;) That was one of only three people who have ever noticed my scars.

Anyway, I just joined under usergroups! I love it! Save our kitties!

I wish I could join this group because we DO blame the poor buggers for everything, but those poor buggers also give me the allergic reaction from hell, so I don't feel that bad about them getting blamed for something :P

I'm going to stopping blaming my kitten. Stopped when girlfriend wouldn't come in my house because she was afraid of my cat. Love the idea.

with my cats, they are actualy responsible for some claw scars. But generaly they tend to bite more.

Hmmm...could I propose a new variant on the cat-related theme (one I came up with for annoying jerks but haven't needed yet)
Well, my pet vampire was hungry, and I was out of kittens....care to donate some blood?
Kat, who has not actually used the kitty excuse since she's at college, but adores the little things.

Just on a random side note, I got to play with a friend's 5 week old kitten over thanksgiving! The poor thing was abandoned by her mommy right after she was born, so she's being hand-raised.[/quote]

No hugs, please. Pretty flowers, butterflies, and cups of tea are appreciated. So are cats. Or random stuff.

I mentally apologize if I've ever blamed my kitty.

It's a lame excuse though for me as my kitty's declawed...however she occasionally runs at me at night, bites my ankle, then runs away. She especially loves doing that when I'm carrying somethign from the kitchen to my bedroom..like hot tea. She's responsable for some unplesant scaldings

grrrr cats, one of the sodding things caused two sets of four neat straight scars, one on each side of the hip. I got in some trouble over aparantly SIing when I said the cat scratched me. but it did! no fair, I was SIing, but that was the cat.

other than that I use the barbed wire and big thorny hedge excuses.

Aye. :P

I don't think I've ever blamed a cat, but I did blame my bunny a couple times, a long time ago. :S But my rabbit at the time was very...skittish, so it made sense. My current bunnies are sooo docile that even if I thought I could get away with it, it wouldn't work. :S
