BECAUSE I JUST MADE A GOOD DECISION & I'm proud of it!
i gave up drinking 8 months ago but have drank a few time since then (maybe 3 but I had a lot of control) and
me and my friend Taylor and Blaine all decided to quit drinking in light of what happened to my bf.
Us all finding its hard, urgry (for me and taylor), or still drinking (for blaine). Me and Taylor decided we would go back to AA meetings once a week and we would go together & try to get Blaine to go as well that way we can see eachother and also better support eachother.
Me & Taylor have both been to AA before, but it was before we knew eachother.
And even though I haven't been drinking I still think it is a good idea and I know my mom won't mind since she is always lecturing me on drinking.
sooooo WOOT for good decisions!!!
I feel really good

Congratulations on your decision!
AA has saved my life - I have about 20 months at this point. It's a rough decision to make and I'm glad you feel good about it. Wishing you the best!

Being almost devastated is horrible because it lingers. But total devastation brings a kind of peace. It lets you give up.

wow! well done. sounds like a really good decision. I know a lot of people who have benefited from AA; I hope you have a positive experience too.
