I love this thread!
hm. Today I gave my friend a pen in class, and let him keep it. I wouldn't have said it was really a random act of kindness, but he seemed so greatful for it I guess it was to him.
And I sat and listened to this girl from my old school, (who, on the first day, wouldn't even tell me her name when I asked her. She just ignored me) talk about her career and how she hates highschool, waht she wants to do for her future, how she plans on taking such and such classes do prepare for that, but how FL laws are preventing her from doing what she wants.
I asked her if she wanted to talk to my mom about it since my mom is a teacher, knows FL laws and is the one the FPEA homeschool group sends people to talk to.

I bookmarked this thread. I encourage you all to do the same. Can't let it die!
My friend was talking to her dad over speaker phone, and he started being really mean to her, holding everything she's ever done wrong over her head, and blaming her for her sister being in jail, and saying that she couldn't just call out of the blue when she wanted something, she should call more often. She said yes sir, no sir, and was very respectful though I could tell she was angry and upset and as soon as she hung up she started crying very very hard. I went over and hugged her. My dad came in and prayed for her.
That night when we dropped her off at the laundry mat where her soon to be husband's mother worked (her boyfriend is off in the marrines, and she stays with his family.) I ran into the grocery store and bought her a nice big bar of dove chocolate and gave it to her. She almost started crying again, but it was a good kind of crying.
And It reminded me I have a good life. Good family, nice house, going to collage, my family isn't in jail or anything. Sure I've messed up and it's aweful hard when you're not the only person in your head, but things could be so much worse.

I need advice. Warning it's rather long. It does mention sexuality breifly but I don't tink it needs a spoilier for anything.

I've been making little cards that say happy things ("Smile," "Have a nice day," "Someone loves you," etc). I'm planning on scattering them around in random places at my school on Valentine's Day.
Also, I've been doing my absolute best not to lose my temper at a friend who (in my opinion) deserves my lost temper. If that makes any sense...

I paid the bus fare for person I didn't know very well, so she could get home, otherwise she would've been stuck.

this may or may not count but it still made me feel good lol
I put away the dishes (which I'm supposed to do but never do without a fight) but today I just did them while I was home.
Also I cleaned up a bit.
And yesterday I held the groceries for my mom because she was complaining about her back. I didn't even badger her about it lol... me & my mom not the greatest relationship but still. I'm taking it easy on her lately
