Locked threads...

Post by Cellardoor » Wed Oct 10, 2007 6:08 pm

hey, :)
you know some of the old locked threads?
like the secrets one?
are people still able to read them?
if so how can i delete a post from a locked thread?

Yah people can still read locked thread (unless they have been moved into holding), they just can't reply anymore. Best bet would be to pm an admin, or a mod of that forum letting them know which post you would like removed.

OR you can just find your post, click edit and then type [deleted]. It won't let you make an empty post, but you can edit the content of any post you've made.
Act in such a way as to make yourself feel capable and effective

The change starts now.

If in doubt, don't

That's a point. I can't test it, because I can edit anything whether it's locked or not. Someone else have a go? I assumed you couldn't add to locked threads, but that you could change what was there.

After a bit of searching i found a locked thread i had posted in and the conclusion:

You can edit anything in a locked topic. So a mod or admin would have to edit it for you.

Sorry i made a typo and said can instead of can't. So to clear up:

Nae you can't.

Admins can edit anything anywhere.

Mods can edit anything in their particular forums.

'Normal' members can edit any of their posts as long as they are not locked.

Hope that helps :)

If you let an admin know what you'd like removed, we can take it off for you. :)
