how can you block certain people using firefox?

im quite un-techy so any help will be much appriciated :]

Go Tools>Add ons>then click the "Get Extensions" link. Then search for ignore feature for phpBB.

my version of firefox [2.0] is not compatable with the software

does anyone know where i can either download an older version of firefox or get a newer version of the 'hide user' thing?

i have firefox 2.0 but the hide user is only compatable for versions 0.6- 1.0?

when i do what notmardy says to find the add-ons, the hide user comes up.
but when i try to install it, i cant.
and ive searched the mozilla website for possible hits for both older versions of firefox and the newer versions of the hide user...but nothing.

It sounds to my like the ignore feature isn't compatible with the newest version of firefox.

Was it this ignore thingy you tried? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1045 Cos that's the first one I found from searching via the firefox website, so I'd hope it'd be up to date.

well i guess i'll keep an eye out for a newer version, hopefully it'll come soon as i really could do with the hide user feature atm.

Well, when we move the board to the new software (see <a href="http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=112689">this thread</a>) there's an ignore feature built in. I don't know when that will be though. Until then, it's a bit of a pain.

troubles, you could post a comment on the extensions page saying "wow, this feature was so great. I really miss it now I've got Firefox 2.x". There's nothing like praise and public support to encourage a developer to keep working on something or someone else to take up the project.
