Notifications

Post by Licentia Poetica » Sun May 06, 2007 6:44 am

I get notifications for threads I haven't posted in, and I get notifications for my own posts..

It's weird.

For the threads you haven't posted in, are they threads where you've made an edit? If the 'Notify me when a reply is posted' box is ticked when you're editing, you'll get notifications for that thread, even though you never made a real post.

As for your own posts, thats just weird. Unless there was a post and it was deleted or something like that.

I just got seven notifications in a row for the same thread and I didn't check it in between, and there was only one new reply.

Maybe I'm going insane..

Have you tried unsubscribing to all of your watched posts? If you're still getting them then i'd worry about gremlins...

Well, you all must be getting my notifications, because I'm not getting some, and some are showing up anywhere from hours to days after a new response is posted. And I have my settings to notify me fo anything I post a response to.

Any ideas?

Love,
Stevie

my honest opinion? We probably won't figure this one out. Maybe when we upgrade the board, the gremlins will stay on the old one.
