INCLUDING IMAGES IN POSTS AND PMs

Post by memsahib2 » Sun Mar 18, 2007 3:40 am

This is such a basic, basic question, I am almost too embarassed to ask - but I will !

Can someone please explain in really simple terms how I include an image/picture in a post or PM ? I click on the edit icon for "include an image " but then I get confused when I have to put in the image URL. The images are in a folder in my C drive and all I know is the file name and the folder name they are in. From there to a URL ??? What IS a URL ?

I know this sounds so THICK, I have read the stickies on technical points but this seems maybe too basic !

I'm useless with technical stuff as well, the way i do it is to:

1. Set up a photobucket account at www.photobucket.com (it's free).
2. Then from there you have an option to 'upload' an image, so you browse through your files and select the picture you want.
3.After that it will upload it onto your account and when you scroll down the page it will be visible.
4. Underneath the picture it will say 'IMG Code', select the text next to that, copy, and paste into the post you want it in.
5. Done :)
