After

:star: have you taken care of your physical wounds? if not, go do that now. we'll wait.

Yes. (they weren't bad)

:star: what had happened just before?

Nothing. I've just been extra bored and alone lately.

:star: what were you thinking and feeling?

I thought I'd just do it a little bit, so it wouldn't scar, then it wouldn't matter. Also It would give me something to do.

:star: why did you end up hurting yourself then instead of some other time? was there an event that was the final straw? what was it?

No.

:star: how did the situation get to the final straw stage? trace it back through the events that led up to the last event. look for some point at which you could have made a different decision and not arrived at the final straw.

I've just been alone for a while (too long). Only contact with the public is at my work, pretty much. No one I know asks me to do anything. They're too busy.

:star: were there outside factors like drugs, alsohol, being off your meds, lack of sleep, etc? can you address those in the future? how?

Not really. Sometimes I forget to take my pills. But I've been pretty good lately, I think.

:star: what other ways of coping did you try besides self-harm? how well did they work?

None. This website was down for a little bit. So I got bored. I'm always trapped in my room, because I don't like being around my mom or her husband.

:star: in retrospect, are there coping methods that you now realize might have helped? what were they?

Food. Or I could have called my sister or my friend. (They don't know what I do), but I still could have talked and kept myself occupied.

:star: name at least two things you will do to help yourself remember those coping methods if you end up in this situation again.

I think I will actually write a list. And put it in the same place I keep my 'Stuff', that way I have to look at it.

:star: how do you feel about the situation that led to self-harm now? is it resolved? if not, what are some steps you might take toward resolution?

It was stupid. Because I didn't have a reason. If I did, then I don't know what it was. A mixture of boredom and loneliness, I guess.

:star: are you likely to be in that emotional place again? how will you recognize it when you're in that situation?

Definately. I'll be alone and bored again.

:star: what will you try before you resort to self-harm if you're in that situation again? list three specific things you will commit to trying.

I can come to this website. I can try working out. I'll try [method - edited by Smeagol]

Hi

Are there other things you like to do rather than workout or come on bus? Are there other things you could *usefully* do, even if you don't want to?

I notice that one of the things you listed was another method of hurting yourself. Why did you put that down as something else you could do? Why is that better than the self-harm you carried out?
Act in such a way as to make yourself feel capable and effective

The change starts now.

If in doubt, don't

There aren't many things I like to do. As for keeping busy, I can only think of maybe doing laundry

I guess I thought of (what was edited) because another stress reliever for me is eating. But I'm always trying to lose weight. So If I did (what was edited) than I'd be too sick to eat.
