I am sad that I've lost touch with so many friends from highschool over the last year.
I'm happy that my best friend sent me a Christmas card and hopefully will want to get together sometime soon in the new year so we can work out what's happened between us.

I am sad that I inadvertantly drive away so many of my friends and end up feeling alone all of the time
I am happy that I have (so far) managed to get through to January 1st without cutting myself

I am sad that being 'easy' is the only way I feel worthy and loved.
I am happy that I have so many wonderful friends who accept me as I am, and expect nothing from me.They've seen the worst bits of me and the best and everything in between and take it all, never demanding I change or wanting me to be someone else. I often forget how wonderful they are and begin to take them for granted. But the are wonderful. And I'm happy I know them and got to spend a lovely evening with them last night.
The wind and I, we speak the same, but he don’t hear so well.
Well, you’re gonna have to curse him, well you’re gonna have to yell.
The sky and I, we’ve had our fights and I’m coming round to rain,
Well, if the rain come round and it don’t come out, then I’ll never have to speak again,
I can tick tick tick tick tick tick tick away.
If Heaven is as Heaven does then this is Hell for sure...

I'm sad because this time last year someone thought the world of me until I proved her wrong.
I'm happy because of all the people I've got to know through the band, it's a real community, and I got xmas cards from them than I've had for years...
...then one day I realised that the people you see in waiting rooms and car parks and on trains are really far more interesting. That they all have whole novels inside them, a fabric of scar tissues, photos and memories. They are comedies and tragedies and - more often - both at the same time.

I'm sad because I can't let go of the past.
However, I'm happy because someone I care about has just come back into my life, and it's wonderful to see them again.

I am sad that I can't be there all the time to make a difference.
I am happy that to the one person I am with I have started to prove that I can make a difference to my actions and make them proud.
Thanks for this post

Sadness: They won't be coming back
Happiness: I am still here

I'm sad that I've made a lot of my personal life really messy.
I'm happy that although it is messy, it is not something that can't be put back together with time.
there is, in the end, the letting go.

I'm sad because I'm sick of this life
I'm happy because my dad ordered my concert tickets that I thought I wasn't going to be able to get yesterday.

I'm sad because Mum is gone. I miss her more than I can say.
I'm happy because there are so many reasons to stay alive.

I am sad - because I hardly see my 3 1/2 year old nephew because he lives so far away
I am happy - because today I got to see him and play with him and he told me he loved me straight from his little heart

I'm sad because my friend K is doing so badly and I feel like I can't do anything to help her esp. when she won't answer her phone when I call
I'm happy that I am doing so well with my new hobby of learning Spanish, I just learned how to count to 50!

I am sad, and I don't really know why.
I am happy because I'm almost done with my college applications.

I am sad because I still find it so hard to relate to people, to make and keep friends- and because in my head I think I am not good enough, pretty enough or clever enough for anyone to love me.
I am happy because things are gtting better, because I have a future now and I am working on making something of it.

I'm sad because, I just feel sad today.
I'm happy because my bestfriend left me the sweetest note for me to find when I came home, and because I currently have one cat curled up on each foot. (although that does kinda restrict my movement, they get their claws out if I shuffle or fidget)

I am sad because my grandma is having surgery on Friday. She is 82 and has cancer and they just found a new lesion.
I am happy because the doctor has done 50-100 of these surgeries before, he is the best in the area for this procedure, and she has a pretty good chance of getting through it!
