Umm I just got a new (pc) laptop.. and it's wonderful *pets laptop*
but sometimes it gets into a weird kind of setting where something is selected.. and everythng i press gets selected as well..
like.. all my windows collaspe & are selected at the same time..
and i cant type into msn or any boxes or anything because it just brings up shorthand controls like "find" or "history".
and I click left on the task bar on things that are open & it says something about cascading & tiling horizontally..
& when i try to restore my windows on IE or firefox they open right up & lose my address bar & all that stuff at the top..
& the only way i get fix it is to reboot which is so annoying..
you can tell im up with the computer jargon "all that stuff at the top"
anyone smarter than me know whats up?
kind of OT computer problem..

Sometimes that happens with my laptop as well, make sure that the buttons on your touchpad arent sticking, or your ctrl and alt keys. Also, it may be that the driver for either the keyboard or touchpad are corrupt. If you dont use the touchpad (i dont, i prefer a real mouse) you can try disabling the touchpad and see if that fixes your problem.
Also make sure Clicklock isnt on. if you go into Control Panal, and click Mouse, there is a checkbox on the first tab for Clicklock, uncheck it if it is checked.
in both the Mouse and Keyboard things in the control panal, there is a button that says Troubleshoot on the Hardware tab. You may try going through the troubleshooters and see if you can find any solutions as well.
how long has this been going on? and how often does it happen?
