* have you taken care of your physical wounds? if not, go do that now. we'll wait.
yes i have taken care of my physical wounds.

* what had happened just before?*
Well, i was feeling down, and su, and i had to get those feeling s out of me..

* what were you thinking and feeling?[color]
well, i was thinking that i woulde feel more at ease, and more calm/relaxed. I was feeling my depression/anxiety and the racing thoughts wernt helping wither...

* why did you end up hurting yourself then instead of some other time? was there an event that was the final straw? what was it?
well, because it is almost identical to every situation, so it is alwasybthe same, so it didnt really matter

* how did the situation get to the final straw stage? trace it back through the events that led up to the last event. look for some point at which you could have made a different decision and not arrived at the final straw.
well the event was my sis telling me that i should go back to the psych ward, that is wherer the starw broke the camels back...

* were there outside factors like drugs, alcohol, being off your meds, lack of sleep, etc? can you address those in the future? how?

well, lack of sleep maybe, if alcohol stays in your system two days later, fight that was it mostly...

* what other ways of coping did you try besides self-harm? how well did they work?
i didnt try other wasy, excep listen to music, but that was all

* in retrospect, are there coping methods that you now realize might have helped? what were they?

no there were not coping methods..
* name at least two things you will do to help yourself remember those coping methods if you end up in this situation again.

umm, i can go for a run, call someone...

* how do you feel about the situation that led to self-harm now? is it resolved? if not, what are some steps you might take toward resolution?

welll, the situation is, but not the hurt feelings, but those wont change, they never doo....
* are you likely to be in that emotional place again? how will you recognize it when you're in that situation?

yes, every day i am in it...i wont recongize it, it comes automatically
* what will you try before you resort to self-harm if you're in that situation again? list three specific things you will commit to trying.

umm, i will listen to music/cry if i can/talk to someone...
hugs and pms welcome*****

Hi moo-moo. I am sorry things are rough right now. Listening to music, crying, talking to people, and running are all really great coping skills. How will you remind yourself to try them first?

What do you specifically get out of SI? What other activities could fullfill your needs?

I hope you're feeling better.

well, because it is almost identical to every situation, so it is alwasybthe same, so it didnt really matter
even so, there must be a point where you realise "I am going to SI now", or when it becomes "inevitable". would it help to try and identify exactly when this happens and exactly why it pushes you over the edge? eg what your sister said to you...maybe have a look at exactly why what made you want to SI, what was going through your head at the moment she said it, and what the alternatives might be.
...then one day I realised that the people you see in waiting rooms and car parks and on trains are really far more interesting. That they all have whole novels inside them, a fabric of scar tissues, photos and memories. They are comedies and tragedies and - more often - both at the same time.
