comments and problems with the changes made during downtime

Post by Spidey » Thu Aug 24, 2006 12:03 am

The coping thread in question is located here: <a href="http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php? ... 46">What's YOUR plan for when you can't get on BUS?</a>

I think the purpose of the thread in coping is for people to brainstorm now various ideas on what they can do when the board is down. I would suggest that as you read the ideas in the thread that you would write them down or save them to your computer or something so that when the baord is down the list is still available.

Deb, you've picked the perfect time. I'll be back at work for the first day in over a week, and without bus to distract me I might be able to get through the piles of work I'm imagining on my desk

So, what are you all going to do while bus is down? Now is the perfect time to look up coping methods and print them out (coping forum: http://buslist.org/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=15), to get your friends email addresses and msn screennames, to find the #bus chat (http://buschat.smurfin.nl/intro.php)or the email list (http://buslist.org/)or to plan activities in your real life.

I thought the #bus chat was at http://buslist.org/chat/ ? Has it changed, or are they the same one? I'm confused.

It's the same chat, points to the same place, but management has changed, so a new site and portal has been created. The old one you mentioned, Laura, works too :)

the board was misbehaving, so the downtime happened sooner than i'd planned. i've got a few things left to tidy up, but for the most part thigns are done. the new board is up at buslist.org/archive. there are only two themes (access and subsilver), pms and posting are disabled -- thisis just an archive of old posts.

i haven't got post counts dione yet. i plan to do that tomorrow.

Act in such a way as to make yourself feel capable and effective

The change starts now.

If in doubt, don't
