This is Candy,
I have been trying to find a good workbook on SI,and I know of two,but I am not sure which one is the best and I was wondering if anyone heard of these books, one is called "Understanding SI a workbook for Adults and the other is called " Healing the Hurt within: Understanding SI and SH and heal the Emotional Wounds". I hope this does not bother anyone, they look like good books, but I do not know which one is more helpful;plus I have Borderline Personality Disorder. I have been using my coping skills and so far it has been two days without SI.it is not easy, but I am taking it slowly. If anyone has heard of these books, please let me know what you think of them, your opinion will be helpful. If anyone wants to Pm me,you are welcome, I care for all you on the Bus. I am still struggling with this, and it can be hard sometimes. I starting writing in my journal again, which I am proud of myself. Trying to stop SI,is not easy and it has been rough for me these past couple of days. Just hanging in there one minute at a time.

Take care
I am in a dark place like a turtle afraid to deal with the pain that I do not want to feel, but eventually I will slowly face my pain, like the turtle when he comes out of his shell.

Hey..
I've heard Healing the Hurt Within is good. But I don't know much about it. Maybe you should look them up on
http://www.amazon.com and look at the reviews.
There's some specific books on dealing with BPD as well. I think Linehan's DBT book is the one most people use.
I know how hard it is trying to get by with SI'ing and I think 2 days is a really great start. Good on you for using your journal as well.
Well done for trying to help yourself. It's not always an easy thing to do.
