i'm sick right now. the big problem is that they're part of the board archive i still need to set up. to get that done, i have to work with a massive file (400 megs zipped) and that makes the machine we're on thrash, which makes the board too slow to use. i need to set a date for the baord to go down for maintenance and i've not done that yet. i'll set one by the end of the week.
once the archive is set up, i'll have to write some sql code to add the old post count in. i also want to do some tuning of the board then, finish pruning out archived stuff, and see if i can get the software behaving better.
i know this is important to a lot of people, and it's important to me to get it done.
and yeah, i've had a lot going on lately. not to make excuses, but i've been sleeping since friday. today's the first day since then i've felt well enough to do much of anything.

Hey
In answer to the question, 'why is it so important?'
For me, even though I rarely come here anymore, coming here and not being able to see how many posts I used to have, almost makes me feel like the time in my life when I used to spend hours here every day never even happened. I like to think that when I was here, even though I spent a lot of time in the games forum, I helped people, just like people helped me when I was here. I know that that happened, but the post counts amost validated it.
Having said that, Deb doesn't need to feel pushed into doing anything especially if she is sick at the moment. But it is important to remember why they might be important to people and not question them about it.
I used to have 20,000 posts, most of which were made in games. I didn't sit there just to higher my post count, I sat there for hours because it took my mind of hurting myself, because I didn't want to anymore and I know that the people I was playing with on that forum where also helped and distraction by my being there, just as I was by their being there.
Any post that helps either yourself or someone else to not self-harm even for just a little bit is worth so much, no matter where it was posted.
Take care,
Love Heather

And? So what? It really makes me angry when I hear people trying to say that their posts are better because they didn't get them in the games forum. It doesn't matter where you make them.yeah, and if you look at where my posts have been made you will see that unlike some people I haven't been playing games for days on end to bump it up.

Posts beyond a certain date are temporarily gone so that they can be archived. If you were on the board before that date then they are lower than they would other wise be. If you joined after that date then it doesn't affect you.i didn't even know they were missing. are everyone's lower? o.O
Act in such a way as to make yourself feel capable and effective
The change starts now.
If in doubt, don't
