I don't know how good it is for your skin or whether or not it will help anyone but I thought I'd share my coping method cause so far its got me to my 3rd week SI free.
What I do is I wrap tape around my wrists, quite tightly, I also do it to my ankles but you can do it anywhere that you happen to cut, basically when you move, your skin moves and pulls on the tape. This feels a little like it would if you had the scabs of half healed cuts and it reminds me that I don't like that feeling.
Don't know if it'll help but I'd feel so bad if it could help someone stop and I kept it to myself.

please think twice about doing this or any other form of binding in order to cope better with si urges / way of delaying si.
this can be very dangerous because it can cut off circulation to a limb and finding that border between tight / circulation cut off is a tricky place - much of what you might think is simply tight is *indeed* jeopardising the blood supply to a limb, and you can risk serious harm to your limbs if circulation is cut off for too long.
also, some people may have tape allergies / fabric allergies and that can complicate matters as well - and it is not good for your skin irregardless of allergy - your skin needs to breathe and prolonged binding can cause some skin problems.
please do not use this method if at all possible.
