Why the avatar?

Thought it might be interesting to see why you guys picked that particular avatar? Reason for that thought is that there has to be a reason that one jumped out at you and you picked it.

I picked mine because I needed something positive and as my name is a positive one for me I picked a picture to remind me that if I want to get better I hold the light. There will always be a light to follow because I am holding it.. if you get what I mean.. basically I'm holding the light so there's always going to be one there... it's just I don't always see it.

I picked this one, because thats how i feel on the inside, like a little angel thats asleep.. that never got to show.. ever....

I picked this one because i liked the way it looked and it reminded me of stars which i love and this has been my avatar for nearly 2 years now and its a part of who i am on here. Ive thought recently about changing it but im not sure i will.

I like trees. And I like the perspective, the way it suggests growth and reaching. It reflects where I feel I'm at. And it looks really cool.

My avatar reminds of childhood and innocence beacuse of the crayons. Also I like the bright colours, they make me feel happier and I want others to feel this too. I don't know if they do but I thought it might.

I picked this one because it's basically how I get through my day. I wake up, I survive the day, I go to sleep. Each and every day.

I like wings, and the idea of being able to fly.
and the contrast in dark and bright colours pretty much sums up how i feel about myself.

(oh, and Whypie, your avator awlays makes me smile, i really like it..so yes, it cheers me up atleast

My avatar is a celtic circle. First reason is because I love anything Irish/Celtic. Second reason is because celtic knotwork is never ending, it just keeps continuing the same cycle, and thats how I feel. I'm always in this never ending cycle which I call my life.

my avatar disappeared recently, so i chose this one - a swirly purple circle on a red background... i like purple for starters

it feels happy? its slightly random but it could be a star or a flower... i don't really know why i like it

I chose this one because I love giraffes - they're gentle and beautiful, and certainly unique. To me they symbolise being accepted for who you are, as well as symbolising the kind of person I'd like to be.

In addition, the first time I saw a real giraffe was a very happy day for me. Every time I see my avatar, or any other giraffe, I am reminded of that moment in time.

I picked this one first b/c of the lightning and how it matches with the name that I picked. Secondly I liked it b/c it in many ways reminds me of myself, though not really comfortable enough to go into detail on that part now.

ok, mine changed. I picked this one because it suits my user name better, plus i like the whole story of the phoenix, only one...dying in flames, a new one rising up from the ashes...ect.

i made mine. its got ed and al in it, and they > sex. but mainly i picked it because it was the only one i could optimize to the right size and not have it look like total crap *is an avatar whore*
