Ocasionally when i was still self-harming, if i allowed myself to read triggering posts it might trigger me but i am not easily triggered at all so it was very rare.

However, I steer clear of the main board and from PBH if im having an anxiety flare up because they sometimes have things on them that make me very anxious, like people talking about relatives who are sick or have died.

But mostly i find them very helpful. I have stuck around even though i dont self-harm any more because i still suffer from the same kinds of mental and emotional problems as many people here, i just have different ways of coping now (unfortunately one of which is ED behaviour... hmm... not good.)

But i also like being able to help those who havent stopped SIing yet or who are in a worse place than me.

I find it very helpfull here, and if i feel like im easyly trigged, i stay away from things that could possibly trigger me.

Usually bus doesn't trigger me, because I know that if I have urges, it's me having the urges and not bus giving them to me. If I do get triggered though, I usually immediately switch to the coping board, pick out a coping strategy in the list, get off the computer, and go do it.

bus can be helpful or harmful depending on whether you know what you can handle and what you can't. Only you can decide that, so be careful!

A bit of both, but it really depends on what kind of mood I'm in before I read the post.
I find the surveys and questionaires really helpful and other things that aren't even directly related to SI triggering.

I'm new here and this board looks great! I can't get to know everyone! :)

More often than not, boards like BUS are just another distraction for me.
