have you taken care of your physical wounds? if not, go do that now. we'll wait.
yes

what had happened just before?
i was in the shower, then a song came on the radio, and it just reminded me off when i was living with my ex, and thing were really bad, so every time we argued he would take aa knife a loock himself in the bathroom, and threaten to kill himself, and i could stand and try to talk to him for hours because i was so afraid that he would kill himself, and then it would be my fault, and i was in the bathroom, so it just reminded me, also because you could look into the old bathroom he was in, and he always sat so i could not see him.

what were you thinking and feeling?
I was afraid sad and quilty and numb and sad

why did you end up hurting yourself then instead of some other time? was there an event that was the final straw? what was it?
I had my tools out, and i just wanted to stop the bad feelings and not deal with them, and then those memories and the feeling they brought back.

how did the situation get to the final straw stage? trace it back through the events that led up to the last event. look for some point at which you could have made a different decision and not arrived at the final straw.
I could had just changed the channel on the radio, or turned it off, and gone talked to somebody.

were there outside factors like drugs, alsohol, being off your meds, lack of sleep, etc? can you address those in the future? how?
nope no drugs alcohol, but i could have listened to a good cd instead of the radio.

what other ways of coping did you try besides self-harm? how well did they work?
nope, but ive should

in retrospect, are there coping methods that you now realize might have helped? what were they?
red fruit color or paint, and talked about how i felt, or tried to distract myself.

name at least two things you will do to help yourself remember those coping methods if you end up in this situation again.
i will buy red fruit color and have it near me, and play with that instead.

how do you feel about the situation that led to self-harm now? is it resolved? if not, what are some steps you might take toward resolution?
nope, but im working on getting a t, so i can get the feelings resolved, so they dont trigger me, but thats gonna take some time, so i should use my team untill that happens, just txt them and say i wanna talk, or if they are there, take a walk with them and talk.

are you likely to be in that emotional place again? how will you recognize it when you're in that situation?
yes, ill proberly be in the shower so i should be carefull, and not have the tools in plain site

what will you try before you resort to self-harm if you're in that situation again? list three specific things you will commit to trying.
1. get fast out of the shower
2. find someone to talk to
3.play with red color

It sounds like you have some really good ideas. I like how you've come up with things to do in the short term (play with fruit color, text message your friends) and more long term approaches like talking to a therapist. :star:
