adding to profile sig and emoticons

I am only just getting to be able to use emoticons more which I really like. I love getting them so maybe others will too. Can you tell me how to put them in my signature please ? When I go to my profile there doesn't seem to ba a way to bring up the emoticons or change the colour or the font. Am I missing something really obvious ? (probably cos I'm old - so my kids tell me - and not PC savvy )

You can put smilies and fonts and stuff in your sig, it's just that the things to help you with the BBCode aren't there.

How about, you compose a reply to this post, putting in what you want for your sig, but instead of hitting "submit", you copy and paste what you've done, with [b]s and :smilies: and all, and then paste that into your sig? That's probably easier than me describing what you need to type for each thing.

Thanks Laura - I did manage to get a little wavey guy in but I'r really like to have coloured font and stuff ..

I can do cut /paste - that's not too challenging for an oldie !

Are you able to get the coloured text etc in a normal post, by pressing the buttons and menus above the text box? When you press those buttons, it inserts things like [color=red]this[/color] around your text. That's what you need to insert into your sig, so like I said, if you can compose a post that has exactly what you want, just copy and paste everything from the text box into your sig area.

Or, you can describe to me exactly what you want, and I will either tell you what to type, or put it into your sig for you
