ok....today in class...i was wearing a light sweater/jacket because i had cut recently...the scars were 2 days old and i didn't wrap them up, cuz they weren't bleeding anymore..just red...so i was reaching over looking at this book and then my classmate whom i know somewhat from another class was sitting next to me, then she looked and asked me a question about that book...and i noticed my sleeve had fallen some that my scars were showing...now i am scared that she saw...and if she did see...i fear she thinks i am a freak...

you cant change whats happened and she didnt mention it so chances are, she didnt see them. Its easy for me to say 'dont worry about it' but a whole lot harder to be done. But if she ws going to say anything im sure she would have said it there and then. Try not to focus on it but maybe decide what you would say if someone inthe future ws to notice and ask.

Hi Collide,
Do you think it could have more to do with your own
feelings/judgements than hers? I know for myself, I
project my fears/feelings onto other people a lot.
Also, I think its great you are going into school
psychology. You will have an inside view on a lot
of things. That's so much better than someone who
is book trained but maybe lacks empathy for how
it feels.
My favorite person is a social worker who openly
admits her own struggles.
I would have loved to have a school counselor
during my terrible school experiences who could
really understand how I felt and not judge me.
Where can kids go to be heard? If they don't have
anyone at home who's listening...
Plus, if no one knows that you SI, imagine the
problems others may be hiding. I bet you're
not the only one!
