I'm not sure where Saren is at the moment, but please be patient... I'd suggest PMing Deb and resending to avatars@busmail.org . I can't actually do anything about it myself, sorry.

i just want to ask why we can't upload an avatar from our computers or link to an off-site one. it would save whoever is in charge of this some work, not to mention decreasing the frustration of the members. this is the only site i have been to where one or both of those options was not available.

i sent in one, and by the time it was ready, i had changed it on all the other sites i go to. i am pretty compulsive about having the same one on all of the sites, so this is causing me some anxiety. i have decided just to not bother with it at all.

I think the reason is that people sometimes want to use pictures of injuries etc, and those aren't allowed.

in which case a moderator or adminstrator can ask someone to remove/change the pic and if the person doesn't comply it can be removed for them.

well, in the time between when the mod find out and when the person changes the image, people might be getting triggerd or upset.
Doing it this way saves some potential drama and harm.

I know I've been taking a while to do avatars, but Ive got a lot going on right now. I'll be doing them every weekend from now on, but I can't during the week.
