strange bug (?) with already read posts

Post by GLaDOS » Sun Jul 24, 2005 2:12 am

Okay, so there is a thread that has a new post. I click on it, read the thread. Then I click the "go" button and go back to the forum. But for some reason, the thread is still marked as unread, and no matter how many times I read it, it stays like that.

Any ideas why this should be? Is it only me?

This only happens with a few threads...

it's not so important, though ^.^
This was a triumph.

I use several computers, and one of them never marks things as read. The only way to get it to is to sign off and sign back on. I think it's marking posts since last visit, but it does get quite annoying.

it used to happen to me too, except sometimes it would mark all topic read so I would lose track >.<

I think it fixed itself eventually

I've had that happen as well, but it doesn't happen all the time.

Usually if I get out of the thread, by clicking the text link at the top or bottom of the page [where it says bus Forum Index -> (forum name)] and go back into that forum it usually clears it. I'll click through a second time sometimes when it doesn't, and that usually fixes things. I have no idea why it happens though.
