Can't use BB code in my profile

Hi. I was just wondering why BB code is off in my profile? I don't really know HTML. I've figured out a few small things, but when I look around BUS for tips on how to post images, sigs, etc. it seems everyone else is using BB code? Plus there is the BB code guide on BUS that I could use. Just wondering! Thanks!!

You can change the settings in your profile
Just tick the yes box next to bb code and that should work fine

I had a look at your profile, and as far as I can see, BBCode is enabled. Can you let me know where you are seeing that it isn't?

(This link is actually displayed when you're typing a post, down at the bottom where it says
Options
HTML is ON
BBCode is ON
Smilies are ON)

...Except maybe it says OFF for you somewhere? Let us know where.

Oh and it is ticked off as "yes" as follows--->

Always allow BBCode: Yes
Always allow HTML: Yes
Always enable Smilies: Yes

So... it's ticked as Yes in your profile, but when you go to make a post it says it's Off?

What about underneath the box where you type the post? Mine says
Disable HTML in this post
Disable BBCode in this post
Disable Smilies in this post
Attach signature (signatures can be changed in profile)
Notify me when a reply is posted
and only the 4th box is ticked by default.

This is very weird.

Are you talking about just near where you put your signature in ?

As far as I know, its only that specific code next to it

• that is off. Other BBcodes should work fine - you just need to type in the code you want

Laura, I'm just talking about where you make your signature in my profile, I can use BBcode in my actual posts.

  I will go try to use BBcode in my profile and see what happens, it didn't work for me once but I'll let you know.

Oh my god!!! I thought that this:
BBCodes OFF:

• meant that BBcode was off and that I couldn't use it. I must have done something else wrong when I tried to post a URL link before in BBCode. I just used it and it worked!!!!
