i'm wondering if i could stop si while my sister is here (in 3 weeks, for a week), just to avoid upsetting her. she knows about si but hasn't seen me (& more scars) for 6 months. if i can't stop, how can i explain that?

hi, would you feel comfortable talking to her about how you're feeling that leads to si? if you let her in, she might be able to comfort, support and just be there for you, if you'll let her and if that's something you feel ok about. take care,

I spose you have a couple of options
- to stop si for the next month (difficult option i know)
- to tell your sister where your at & be honest with her (fairly good option if u ask me, like limestone suggested, she could offer you support etc)
- keep si-ing and not tell your sister/cover up (definetly not the best option)

as she knows about it already, she won't like u being dishonest with her. It's up to you to do what ever you choose, and good luck with whatever you choose. I hope you enjoy your sister's visit. Enjoy spending time with her and if you can, don't let the si rule you, rule the si.
