out of interest....
would we be able to get a area thinkies for sexual abuse and sexual assult issues past and present i believe it would help quite a few of us?

you can ask one of the administrators,
however, this has come about for discussion before.
The problems being :
bus is an si board, not an sa survivors board - of which there are plenty on teh interweb.
It would encourage posting of details - something which although can be initially useful, tends to lead towards comparison,
and then competition - which then leads to people feeling even worse.
Emphasising sa would give the impression that anything else is less relevent/important/valid.
There would equally have to be forums covering all sorts of other conditions/circumstances.

it's more a case of people 'competing' so say in comparison of experiences - much in the same way as the 'no numbers' rule we have here - if people posted numbers, folks would compare those numbers to themselves sort of thing.

People might post that they were SA'd when they were 7 once by a family member, and someone else might reply with 'well I was abused for 30 years by the same person!', and the first person will feel bad because they might begin to think they have no right to the pain they are feeling, when of course they do.
