Marking topics as read when they aren't

Post by midnight* » Fri Jan 14, 2005 5:36 pm

In the past few days (it was fine after the upgrade, it's just started happening now) every time i come on bus, the minute i read one topic it marks all the others as read too so i don't know which ones are new and which ones aren't anymore. It seems to be doing it when i change forums too. any ideas why this is?

try going to buslist.org/phpBB instead of busmail and see if that fixes it.

I'm having the same problem. It just started this afternoon. All was fine in the morning. I tried logging in via buslist, but that didn't fix it.

Much puzzled.

I've found the same problem, and going to buslist.org/phpBB doesn't help at all. it's weird, beause when i first log on, it says that htere are new messages in the forums, but then it's like the new messages disappear as soon as i enter the forum. any other ways to fix it?

Do you have auto login ticked? If you do, what's happening is that you are being logged out...and then are automatically being logged back in. That's why it looks like there are no things that are new since when you last logged in...because that was like 30 seconds ago...hope this helps.

I don't have automatic log in and its been happening with me as well. All of the topics are being marked as read, and that there are no new posts when I click on the forum links directly after I've logged on.

it didn't stop doing it straight away which was weird but i'd say keep using buslist because using busmail is still doing it for me.

I'm having the same problem, its very irritating. Buslist doesn't fix it either. It never used to do it, its just been the last few weeks.

Apparantly clearing your cache (cookies etc.) should fix it. I've actually not noticed any problems whatsoever.
