Ah, I like this thread, too.
For me, the best and most simple things in my life are:

-coffee
-my kittie
-walking barefoot
-going out to the country to get away from the crowds
-dreams
-reading a good book
-being alone
-my kids: the best!

Anything cheesey.

Treating myself to a chocolate bar.

Autum mornings.

Being warm in bed when it's cold outside.

Putting on nice clothes.

Snuggling with A.

Bubble bath.

Turning my music up far too loud.

Playing punk rock really loud on a sunday morning.

Hot chocolate and crumpets when you get in from playing in the snow.

Hearing someone you love's key in the door.

Morning sun.

Eating when you're really hungry.

Buying a record, getting home and playing it, and realising it's better than you expected.

Drinking coffee with my mum.

Trains that run on time.

Boat rides on the river in spring.

Fairy lights in trees outdoors at christmas.

Cold crisp winter evenings.

Spinach, cheese and egg.

White wine and lemonade.

Coffee made with hot milk.

Bath toys.

Trees.

Walking around at night , in the rain or when its been raining, especially in bare feet

That feeling when its 3am and you're heading for the airport and eating microwaved pancakes for breakfast cause theres no time for anything else.

Getting cold and wet and miserable and then coming home to warmth, dry, soft clothes, a hot bath, a hot drink and maybe even a warm pair of arms.

Coming home on a FREEZING december day and seeing a christmas tree in your house.

Standing in the cold wrapped up in scarves and gloves and watching fireworks

Spending ages putting on lots of makeup and looking really glamorous.

Being at a gig, in the mosh pit, getting hot and sweaty and hugging random strangers and smashing into them and being pulled up off your feet when you fall over and crowdsurfing etc etc.

Being able to just lie around with somebody and not say much, OR have a deep conversation, and playing with thier hair and just being touchy-feely and knowing inside that its real true friendship.
