coping in school...?
what are some things you can do in school or at practice to "distract" yourself...like, when you dont have the comfort of being in your own home...?
"i smoke & i drink
& every time i blink i have a tiny dream
but as bad as i am
i'm proud of the fact
that i'm worse than i seem.
what kind of paradise am i looking for?
i've got everything i want and still i want more..."

I focus on my school work. I write long notes to my friends. I scribble on a piece of paper. I just sit there and look sad.
Honestly, I wish I could help you. Most of these things distract me for a while. The best school pick up I've ever found is going to the bathroom and hurting myself.
There has to be something better, doesn't there? I really hope you'll find it, and I really hope it will work for you. You seem to be an awesome person, and I really want things to work out for you. Take care of yourself. Stay strong, and don't SI.

but it's a lot harder than it looks because even though
they had the same size feet as us, they weren't looking
down the whole time while they walked to make sure
they were doing it right.

Today in English class I had the same problem. I really didnt want to cut (like I usualy do) So I just signed out to the bathroom and instedad of cutting I washed my face off with really cold water. I dont know if that will help you but it helped me alot.

I know how you feel- its so hard in school. Just focusing really hard on the school work can help. Or (this sounds silly but...) sometimes I focus my attention on a certain person, then pretend to have a mind conversation with them and watch their expressions!!- it can actually be quite funny! I usually miss the whole lesson but it does distract me

that sounds very amusing but what exactly do you mean by a 'mind conversation'?

*nods sadly* I know that one though often just removing yourself to somewhere nice and quiet like the bathrooms can be helpful. I squeeze my keys, or bunch my fists if it's really awful; as if I'm grabbing onto something for stability, not tight, just reassuring. The other thing I do is throw myself into my work, so I don't have to think about anything but what I'm teaching, or, if I am in a learning situation, what I'm learning.kurdt_kobain wrote: Honestly, I wish I could help you. The other trick is to surround yourself with happy people at breaktime. There is always at least one person in every school who bumbles along happily, even if the world is breaking apart, and that can be infectious!
Hang in there - it's holidays for me - it has to be your holidays soon!
