username being visible (sometimes)

this is weird, but i changed my profile so that i show up on the bottom of the index page when i'm on bus. yet when i'm in some forums, my username doesn't show up as a user in that forum.

wassup with that?

i guess it's just the way the board goes or something

The board shows those active within the last 5 minutes
I believe the forums may do the same thing
I think it just means that you move faster then the board does
