Post by Jomomma » Mon Jan 09, 2006 11:23 pm

Somehow my task bar has decided to move location and it is driving me batty

Where it was once sitting comfortably at the bottom of my screen, it has now decied to stand upright on the left hand side of my sceen.
It doesn'e belong there but it isn't listening to me

SOmeone wanna tell me how it did that and hwo to make it behave like a good little task bar???

Try right clicking on it and clicking "Lock the Taskbar" so it's off. Then just try and drag it to the bottom of the screen. You might need to make a bit larger first, but you can make it smaller later. To make it larger, click and hold on the edge, and drag it. :)

Yay!! :1bshad: Jomomma joins the ranks of the uninitiated!! My son Matt usually does that stuff for me. (I think he guesses, or kicks the pc  ). Anyway, I do what you did - mess around with it long enough, it usually works out - and then you can claim computer genius!!

Well done you!

Mine's quite happy on the left hand side of my screen.

Last month it took a sight-seeing tour of the top edge too. (You should see the photo's  )

*likes to be different*

For future reference:

Unlock the taskbar by right clicking on it and unchecking 'lock the task bar'. Move your mouse over the time that is displayed. Click on it and hold it down. Then move the curser to the middle of where you want it to be (so say it is on the left and you want it back at the bottom move the curser down to the bottom in the center of the screen). Then let go and it will go there. Then re-lock the task bar.

Give it a go :)
