before and after

Everytime I try to post on the before and after forum, a message appears that only users who have been granted special access can post there... is that just an error, or do I have to get that special access somewhere? I just don't get it.

That's right, you have to request access (I think there's a sticky in the forum explaining why).
Just click "usergroups" at the top right and choose "Before and After" from the menu. Then an admin (me if I'm still around when you get this) will add you and then you can post.

I did that a couple of days ago, and I'm still not able to post there - does it take a while to be allowed on there?

No it doesn't take a while (there's no special requirements or anything, unlike Debating Society), it just takes until and admin notices you are waiting! I've added you now.
If we're slow, and you see an admin online you can drop them a pm.
