They should die.
No. I'm serious.
trying to follow in the footsteps of the masters,
but it's a lot harder than it looks because even though
they had the same size feet as us, they weren't looking
down the whole time while they walked to make sure
they were doing it right.

the situation is completely under control.
someone broke in through an admin password -- all admin passwords have been reset. I contact the owner of the ip address this was done form and the sysadmin is taking action. further, the ip range has been banned. i'm looking into whether this was because of an exploit or something else.
many of my posts were deleted, as was my user account (which means all my private messages were lost. if you sent me a pm, please resend it.

It appears so... and Deb's account is semi-gone too. Although the user with ID 1 still exists, and has the right post count, all her posts are marked as being posted by a guest. Weird.

Thanks for handling it.
The only thing that worries me is that the person is, obviously, apt enough at computers to change their IP.

the ip address belonged to a school system in california, and the sysadmins are tracking down the culprit.
i have banned the entire ip range.
all of the admins have changed their passwords.
please don't worry too much. i've got a complete backup of the board.

that's so crazy. shouldn't the ppl b in school to be learning not hacking people's webboards? people irritate me. i don't know why people can't just leave everyone else alone. the world would be so much happier then!

Thanks for getting it back under control Deb. You're the best!

And it's hey babe, with your guardian eyes so blue,
Hey my baby, don't you know our love is true,
I've been so far from here,
Far from your loving arms,
Now I'm back again, and babe it's gonna work out fine.

What we should, and I believe will, spank them with is the law.
They fucked up. Big time. It wouldn't make them sick to enjoy being spanked with a whip. If they're sick it's because they hacked BUS.

I'm happy this board up and running against.
Going to this board and finding attempted leet and hacking is not a bit...scary. Scary in a "wtf" way.

Yes, many thanks to Deb for getting it back up so quickly.
How long was it down, anyway? I got online during the aftermath, not too long after the problem was resolved.
