Editing again!!!

Post by friarygirl » Wed Dec 01, 2004 1:27 am

I know this has been brought up before - but it is so VERY, VERY frustrating - I'm a great one for writing without engaging my brain, so I quite often need to edit  - and yes, I know you can do 'preview', which does help, but for example tonight I couldn't remember the specific name of something, put the wrong one in, then had to go back once I remembered and edit..........

It takes so long to edit, and my pc only has a dial-up connection to a crappy local thing - so over half the time the computer 'times out' and I have to go over and over doing the same edit... :omad:

It ends up costing a lot of money on a dial-up!

i'm testing a solution right now, so if you can't edit at the moment be patient.

deb

test edit

it's marginally quicker but not a great improvement.

It's not specific to one person, it's a board wide thing.... it happens to me too. Apparantly you can just close the window after about 10 seconds and it's edited the post... wouldn't recommend trying it though, in about 10 tests I only got it to work once.

I always open up another window to continue reading and posting and leave the editting one in the background till it's finished.
